2005 Corvette Raffle

The drawing was held at 1:00 pm, Saturday August 27, 2005
at Strong Chevrolet in Damariscotta, ME.
I couldn't be present because it conflicted with Corvettes @ Carlisle,
the biggest Corvette event of the year.

The lucky winner was from Maine this year, right nearby in Round Pond. I don't have his name yet, but he has participated in this raffle EVERY YEAR since its start in 1989. His persistence certainly paid off! He is also a cancer survivor. As soon as I get more info and hopefully a photo of him picking up the car I'll post it here. 

2004 was a milestone year for this major fundraiser for the New England Division of the American Cancer Society. The Corvette Raffle was started in 1989 by my wife, Sandy Labaree, who ran it for many years. Last year it passed the $1Million mark in net proceeds for ACS since it's inception! 

This is the car: Victory Red coupe, ebony interior, 4 speed automatic.
