Our second year attending this fun fundraiser!

The start.

Also for the second year, we participated in the Home Depot Car Show in Scottsboro AL on the way to Atlanta.

Then it was on to the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

For each $25 donation you got 5 (paced?!) laps around the track in groups of no more than 15 cars. I paid for 2 sessions.

I had a camcorder on the dash, positioned to not only capture the track ahead but also the head up display to show speed and RPM.
Of my 10 laps, I saw a high of over 130mph on 7 of them.

After the 2 back to back sessions, I parked to just hang out, visit and watch the action as the sun set.

Then I headed off to Bremen GA for the night.


Sunday, October 9
