The drive across Maine was incredibly traffic free, probably because
the foliage was nowhere near peak as a result of the warm, dry weather.

We first checked out the gate house and the castle,

Then moved over the the field where the barbecue was served.

Stop for the night at the Bedford, MA home of my daughter and her husband.

by the 50/50 drawing done at the barbecue.
