December 30, 2002 — CBE Technologies, producers of OneStop IT Solutions™ today announced it has acquired ValCom Computer Systems of Portland, Maine. CBE is now one of the largest providers of technology services and products in New England with offices in Portland, Maine, Boston, and Wilmington Massachusetts. In Maine, the new combined company will operate as CBE / ValCom.

April, 2003: When CBE took over ValCom with the above announcement, I have to admit that I was very apprehensive. After all, as my "day job" employer since 1996, ValCom had been incredibly supportive of our Corvettes Conquer Cancer Tour from its very beginning in 1998. The likelihood seemed between slim and none that the new owners would allow me the time off, beyond my accrued vacation, to go off to Corvette events around the country to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

I was ecstatic to find out that I couldn't have been more wrong! Corvettes Conquer Cancer is very pleased and honored to count CBE Technologies as one of our valued sponsors. Many thanks to Bill Willett and Drew Lally for making this happen.

CBE's sponsorship continues with the new car, and their decal was the first one applied to it on the day I picked it up from Strong Chevrolet, April 8, 2006.
