Gate City is my home club.
The first Corvette weekend event that Sandy & I ever attended was Gate City's "OctoberVettes" in 1978,
the year after we got our first Vette. We rarely missed one after that...

For the past 4 years, this club has held a FundRaiser for us in a hangar at the Nashua, NH airport.
In that time they have raised almost $25,000 for the American Cancer Society and Corvettes Conquer Cancer!

You couldn't ask for a much better day or a nicer place for a Corvette show!
   

My daughter Christy and her husband Nils stopped by the show while taking advantage of the great weather to go for a bike ride.
This was the first time I had seen her new (and first!) motorcycle. Way to go, Christy! She is the third generation in my family to ride motorcycles:
My dad in the 30s, me in the 50s & 60s, and now her. I would have taken it for a spin, but had to go help judge a couple classes of C5/C6. We'll do it yet...
 

The traditional after-the-show, job-well-done pizza party at Jim Eckes' home on a nearby island.
Yes, it would appear that all Corvettes ARE red, even the Avalanche model!
 

Thanks to Gate City, we were able to send
$335.00
to the American Cancer Society's Bedford, NH office.

Back home again, still stuffed, with daylight to spare.
