Thursday April 8

Decatur departure.

The gathering place: Solomon Chevrolet Cadillac in Dothan.

The party was at the Dothan Conference Center.

The DCC owners, Jeff & Cindy Linden (also Corvette people) put me up for the night!

Friday April 9

70+ Corvettes caravan from Dothan to Panama City Beach FL, led by Jim & Charley Robertson.
(On a couple occasions we enjoyed passing a motor home, reaching 135 or so...)

PCB; lunch @ Margaritaville. That's Brian Webb & Kirk Bennion in the beach scene and Charley behind that camera.

Then it was on to Pineapple Willy's for a couple more beers before dinner @ Capt. Anderson's.

Saturday April 10

The show @ the Bay Point Marriott.

The closing banquet was highlighted by the live auction to benefit the National Corvette Museum,
with celebrity auctioneer, Steve Grilli from the Corvette plant.
In the second photo, Steve gets Corvette designer Kirk Bennion to talk about one of the items he donated.
3rd photo is me giving the final pitch for the 50/50.

Winner of the 50/50 was Randy McClure. He donated his 1/2 of the $1060 pot to the National Corvette Museum.
The other half went to the American Cancer Society's office in Dothan AL.

Sunday April 11

About 40 miles from home in Decatur Alabama, who do I pass but Steve Grilli
in the (company) 2011 Grand Sport he had for the weekend.

Home again.

Thank you Circle City Corvettes for a great weekend, and especially
Charley Robertson, who has been buggin' me to go for years!
