Always one of my favorite events! Chip Miller first invited us in 1998, and Corvettes @ Carlisle has provided us with the space and lodging ever since!
Thanks to hood signatures, we were able to send $225 to the American Cancer Society's office in Lemoyne PA, the office that serves the Carlisle area.

Departing Decatur AL, 4:24 am
Arrival on Carlisle Fairgrounds, 782 miles; 4:30 pm

As I was setting up in my usual spot by the Big Trees, these two one-of-a-kind Vettes went by:
The steel body Rondine.
The driveable chassis XP819 rear engine Corvette concept.
Original owner Steve Stone's 63, with 510,000 miles! I had met him at Corvette Adventures in Wisconsin Dells in June. Since the 63 was the featured year for 2013, I put Lance Miller in touch with him, and his car spent the weekend on the stage!
Have you ever seen anyone wash their Corvette - with the top down???
Friday, August 23
Fully set up
Note 2 C7 StingRays in the wash area
2 donors of $100 or more to the American Cancer Society
got to sign the hood inside the oval!
Scott Sinclair
Alan Arthur
For his $50 donation, Rich Besitka signs the hood, for the second time in 3 years!
You could hardly get near the C7 Stingrays in the Chevrolet tent! There were also several of them parked at random around the fairgrounds - VERY COOL!
I also took the time to check out the "Chip's Choice" display.
(Click image to see them all)
Friday evening: the C5/C6 Registry dinner
I got to speak to the crowd about our mission.
Saturday, August 25
By the dawn's early light
In place, 6:01 am!
While Gary minds the booth, I take the LONG walk to find my "Celebrity Pick" among a couple of thousand Vettes.
Success - here it is:
Larry Spilman with his beautiful 62! (I had also picked it in 2011 and 2005)
Coincidently, it was only a few steps from my pick from last year,
Adam Ford's blue 54.
Back at the booth, retired Corvette Chief Engineer, Dave McLellan,
and Gary were in their usual animated conversation.
At the Celebrity Lunch, Lance Miller welcomes the group.
Peter Brock, the author and designer of the
original Corvette Sting Ray, was a special guest.
Sunday, August 25
A couple shots of the NCRS display.
After wrapping up our display and bidding farewell to Gary for his help,
it was on the road again.
