Funfest
Mid America Motorworks
Effingham, IL
September 13-16, 2001

Wednesday, September 12, 2001

Leave Maine for Effingham. Gary (my frequent co-pilot and bodyguard) had planned to go with me again this year. However, since both he and his wife work for the FAA, and we all know only too well what happened the previous day, he stayed on the job.

Thursday, September 13

Starting out from Dayton, OH. Note 964.8 miles the previous day!

At 10:09 - a major milestone for the Corvettes Conquer Cancer C5!

Arrival at Mid America's campus in Effingham. This poster on the door advertises
the cancer information program that Mid America has put on for the community
on the Thursday before Funfest.

Friday, Sept. 14

Strange: I didn't take a single photo on Friday: That's a first! It was a busy day.

Saturday, Sept. 15

Sunday, Sept. 16

Dinner at Mike & Laurie Yager's house.

Monday, Sept 17

Leave for home.

Conspicuous by their absence since the 11th, jet vapor trails are seen again.
Here, 3 intersect perfectly!

Tuesday, September 18

Home again.
