I was invited to this event to honor the work of Brian Bair of Bair's Corvettes. In 2012 Brian had launched PinkVette.net, a charity to help raise money for the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute located in Meadville, Pennsylvania. In 2012, he began “Cruisin’ for the Cure” in an effort to obtain 6,000 or more signatures on a pink Corvette. The overall goal is to raise money to be donated to the Oncology Institute to purchase and maintain a vehicle to transport patients and their family members who aren’t able to make it to the center for their appointments.
Early in the process he seized an opportunity and bought the 1997 Corvette that Corvettes Conquer Cancer started with. That car is now the support vehicle for his mission. I couldn't pass up the chance for another reunion with our old car!

Leaving Decatur AL; 5:23 am
Arrival in Hubbard, OH at 4:00 pm. Almost 700 miles at an average
of over 73 mph and still got 27 mpg. Not too shabby!
Sunday, July 14
Together again, with the Pink Vette in between! The 97 had over 210k miles on it and looks fantastic; the pink 84, over 100k; the 2006, 181k. Nearly half a million total miles between them, for a cause!
Note engine cover signed by Arnold Palmer and Jay Leno!
As of July 31, 2013, there were 4,568 signatures on the pink car!
Well done Brian!
