This is the Madison AL Police Department's 2010 Corvette Grand Sport.
When we contacted the Madison PD to invite them to bring it back to our Corvettes Conquer Cancer Show Oct. 26, 2013 we were informed that it had been pulled from service because the tires were worn out! As a non-essential vehicle, it would be grounded until funding could be found to replace the tires.
Enter Michelin.
The Corvettes Conquer Cancer 2006 Vette has been running on tires provided by Michelin since 2007. On a hunch I emailed my contact to advise her of the situation. She immediately agreed to provide a new set! Mind you, this was 4 days before the show. The pictures below are the rest of the story!
Lucky guy! Officer Jason Bolden is assigned to drive the Vette to work as the school resource officer for one of the Madison elementary schools. He says that it gives him hero status, and bragging rights for the kids.
