This was my 5th time at this event, the season finale for the Corvette Racing team in the American Le Mans Series.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay for the actual race! {8-(
Thursday, October 2
Departing Decatur, AL
Arrival in the Corvette Corral at Road Atlanta.
After checking in, I walked down the hill and to the far end of the pit straight to the Corvette team paddock.
By the time I reached the pits my knees were killing me! I realized that I would NOT be able to do it again, and the 3 day event would require many repeats. So-o-o, decision made, I made my way back up to the Corvette Corral.

Back at the Corral, I paid my respects to the staff, left word for Connie and Bobbie Tow, who were hosting me in their home again, and headed for home, thoroughly bummed out!
