Grand Opening

Springfield, VT
May 5, 2002

It seems really good things happen for Corvettes Conquer Cancer when I go on runs with Gate City Corvette Club!

Similar to the Breakfast Run on March 17, I got emailed notice of a run to the brand new Precision Valley Corvette Museum for its Grand Opening. Again, the group would be leaving from Bedford Mall at 9:00. This time we had something like 27 Vettes in the caravan through scenic NH and VT to Springfield, VT, with a pit stop at a Wendy's along the way.

We arrived at the Precision Valley Corvette Museum just before noon.
There were probably already 75 Vettes ahead of us.

Pride & joy of the museum is this '55, in a reproduction vintage Chevy showroom.

Remember I said that really good things happen for Corvettes Conquer Cancer when I travel with Gate City? While at the museum, I talked to the owner, Matt Alldredge, and asked if he would be interested in sponsoring my mission. Without a minute's hesitation, he jumped at the opportunity, agreed to take the prime space on the hood of the C5, and wrote out a check for $5000.00 on the spot! It just doesn't get any better than that!

Thank you Hank Vezina and Gate City Corvette Club
for another great outing!
